About Mini Arcade
Mini Arcade is a free collection of browser games, simulations and small tools. Everything runs in your browser: no installs, no accounts and no app stores. You open a page and play, on a computer or on a phone.
Why we made this
Most casual games ask for too much before you even get to play: downloads, permissions, sign-in walls. Mini Arcade strips that away. Each game is a small, focused idea that you can understand in a few seconds and still play for a long time to beat your own best score.
We also like games that teach something. Moon Lander uses the real lunar gravity of 1.62 m/s², Orbit Builder lets you fly rockets modelled on real launch vehicles, and Solar System Explorer is a free interactive map of the planets. Facts in those games come from primary sources such as NASA and USGS where they are available.
What's on offer
- Puzzle — Watermelon Merge, 2048 Plus (both time attacks), Guess the Rocket and Guess the World (one daily puzzle with six tries)
- Arcade — Mountain Climber, Highway Dodge, Plane Workshop, Moon Lander, Sky Shooter (stages, bosses and four planes with their own special attacks)
- Reflex — Ruler Drop, Sniper Range
- Simulation — Flight Sim, Orbit Builder, Solar System Explorer
- Tools — a set of free calculators and checkers on the Tools page
New games are added over time, and existing games keep getting fixes and new features based on what players tell us.
How the rankings work
Each game keeps your best score in your own browser. When you set a new best you can optionally enter a name (up to 12 characters) to appear on the Rankings page. Some games, such as Moon Lander, also have weekly boards that you can browse week by week. Scores are sent from players' browsers, so they cannot be fully verified; obviously impossible scores are rejected.
Recent updates
- Sky Shooter — larger screen, five stages with bosses and different skies, special attacks for each plane, roll dodge, switchable weapons, wingmen and an upgrade shop
- Moon Lander — four ships to choose from, a random Moon every landing and a weekly leaderboard
- Watermelon Merge — a preview of the fruit after the next one
- Mountain Climber — the sky changes from day to space as you climb
- All games — sharper, larger canvases and better layouts on phones
Your data
Game progress, best scores and settings are stored only in your own browser. The only things sent to a server are a score and name you choose to put on the shared rankings, and an anonymous play count. See our Privacy Policy for the details, including advertising and analytics.
